Free travel scheme for girl students in the state

 All girl students of uttarakhand can travel  in the bus of Uttarakhand Transport Corpration  free from her residence to her school/college within the state,

 

How to get facility of free travel

A girl student who want to get this facility has to apply to her school /college for a free travel card. A card in the prescribed proforma and size  (sample)  will be prepared by the school/college and after duely signed by the principal it shall be sent to nearest Depot of UTC for registration.UTC will register the  details of travel card and hologram it. The card  then will be send back to the school/college

A girl student can travel free in the bus of UTC by showing this card to the conductor of the bus with her school/college Identity card.

 

General conditions

  • The free travel is restricted to student's residence to school/college and school/college to residence only on schooldays.
  • The free travel is restricted within limits of Uttarakhand State.
  • The residence and the school/college both must be in Uttarakhand State,
  • The validity of card will be one year.
  • The studend must keep her  school/college Identity card during the travel.
  • The student  has to show  her free travel card to the conductor of the bus.
